Trip Details

Day 1: Arrival at the lodge in Moshi a day before the start of climbing

DAY 2:You will register at Londorossi National Park gate, and we will drive you through the plains to reach the Lemosho route head

DAY 3: We will trek slowly to reach the edge of the Shira Plateau

DAY 4: We will walk slowly across the grassy moorland and volcanic rock formations to the summit of Shira Cathedral

DAY 5: Hiking the main route to Lava Tower (15,150 feet)

DAY 6: We climb to reach the summit of Lent Hills (15,400 ft)

DAY 7: From Buffalo Camp, we hike to the top of ‘Buffalo Ridge’ to reach Third Cave Camp (12,800 ft). It took 5-7 hrs; 5.1 miles: -800 ft

DAY 8: We will walk through the lunar landscape between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi to reach School Hut

DAY 9: Around 1 am, we begin the last journey towards the peek of the mountain

DAY 10: After breakfast, we can arrange for a private transfer or taxi to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)
